Join Lisa this New Year for a very special online course where she will be taking you on a new adventure, teaching how to create an array of wonderful textures using coloured pencils.
Our main subject will be this perfect reference photo of Midnight the dog at rest on the dusty ground of the farm.
Over a 6 week period Lisa will be guiding you on a structured and logical exploration with your pencils and tools to render all of the different textures and tones in rendering this gentle image. Each week you will tackle a different texture from the rusty can to the wooden wagon wheel, the tactile bark of the tree and of course the beautiful rich black fur of Midnight the dog.
Each stage will be broken down into a logical format so this course is suitable for all. Lisa will be starting with the basics of pencil pressures, colour mixing, the importance of values and from the initial line art she will share the various techniques needed to re-create each of the textures.
You will be working on Pastelmat for this one.

This will be an 18 hour workshop split over 6 days. The workshop is structured to allow for everyone to work at their own pace and the full playback videos will be made available after each session. If you need to take a break or cannot make all of the sessions live, you can easily catch up again.
You will then have ongoing access to the playback videos to pause, and play at your own speed at a time of your choice. You will also have ongoing support within my private community group.

The course will then continue on each subsequent Monday at the same time, with the final class on February 10th.
Homework may be set between sessions and there will be ample opportunities to ask questions as you work along.
