WHAT IS PATREON?

You often hear me talking about my teaching channel over on Patreon, but what is it really all about? Due to popular demand from those who either had not been unable to attend my workshops, or those that had attended & wanted to continue their learning, six years ago I set up my own teaching channel over on Patreon.

Each month members are rewarded with reference photos, line drawings, hints & tips, downloadable tutorials & full voiceover tutorial videos. The written tutorials can be up to 50 pages long. I also aim to teach the true basic skills so the DrawAlong tier offers the closest I can get to mini online live workshops where you draw along with me. We cover topics such as colour theory, colour mixing, tonal values & much more & you get to ask me questions along the way. I also offer critiques each month. These are invaluable if you are truly looking to push your pencil skills to the next level. If you are serious about developing your coloured pencil skills & want to take things at your own pace then why not join me over there.

For anyone wondering exactly what content there is on my Patreon please do scroll down to view below just some of the tutorials available. Click through on any of the pics below to see more information. There is instant access to over 100 projects on there including Guest Artist Programme tutorials from well known artists too. There is no commitment to stay for longer than a month if you decide it is simply not for you. You also get access to an exclusive online community group on Facebook with continued support.

“Absolutely love the critiques. Whether you submit your own work or listen to the other critiques there is always at least one take away, if not more that can be applied to your own work. Having submitted my work for critique it has really helped me to see where I needed to push myself more to take a leap forward with my work. On your own there’s only so much you can look and see that needs improvement but an outside perspective really does the world of wonders. I’m grateful for these critiques from you Lisa as it has really helped me take my work further and to a new level I wasn’t reaching prior to this”
'Wow, what a find this lady is! Not only is she an extremely talented artist but she has the unique ability and genuine desire to impart her knowledge and expertise through the art of teaching. Her tutorials are inspiring, interesting, well thought out, methodically planned, engaging and delivered to the highest professional standard on every level. Her offerings including content, styles, subjects and methods are fresh, relevant, easy to follow, visually exciting, motivating and continually evolving. These attributes coupled with her excellent communication skills both verbal and written are invaluable to me as a student. I can say with 100% confidence that Lisa is at the top of her game. I have learned more from her since becoming one of her patrons than I have from any other long-established artist. It is with great excitement that I look forward to continuing to develop my artistic ability under her expertise, professionalism and tutelage. Thank you so much Lisa!.'

“As an artist who submits my work regularly for critique I find the advice given absolutely invaluable. The information is always helpful and constructive and I love to watch all of the critiques, there is always something to take away and apply to my own work."
